Upper Sturt railway station was on the now closed Bridgewater line located 28.9 km (18m 17ch) by rail from Adelaide, South Australia.
Facilities consisted of an 80.5-metre-long platform and a shelter.
The station was located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Upper Sturt between the end of Station Road, a dead end street branching off Upper Sturt Road, and the end of Isling Road, a dead-end street branching off Sheoak Road (which is now in Crafers West).
When the nearby station at Nalawort was closed in the late 1950s, Upper Sturt become the second railway station on the South Australian Railways system to have a tunnel between it and the next station in either direction. When Upper Sturt was closed Eden Hills became unique in this regard, although by then the South Australian Railways had ceased to exist.
Prior to 1956 Upper Sturt Station was quite substantial, with an enclosed waiting room and ticket office. There was a relatively short section of masonry platform (approx 20 m) and a long wooden section. In the "Black Sunday" bushfires of 1955 all but the masonry section of the platform was totally destroyed. Upper Sturt was closed in 1987 when suburban rail services on the Bridgewater line ceased. The platform has since been demolished.
